Heron

Canon EOS 20D 1/800s f/5.6 ISO400

I now have far too many portraits of Herons, but I couldn't resist this shot for its combination of light and his slightly windswept appearance. This Heron was completely unconcerned by my presence - he actually flew towards me and I had to back away because he was too big in the frame. I wish all birds were this helpful!
