QuantumTiger Landscape and Wildlife Photography Banner Photograph of a cormorant drying its wings

Cormorant

I've always loved the way that cormorants dry their wings out. Often, however, they do it on posts or rocks which are long way out. This one has found a submerged fence right by the edge of one of the lakes in Bushy Park and was not too concerned about me approaching for a photo.

This image and others like it can be found in the Waterfowl gallery.
