Not Just Yet

A house martin chick contemplates its taking to the wing. This particular evening there was a glut of flying insects and there were 60 or more martins swooping around my window. This little chap seemed happy to sit in the gutter and watch the goings on. Occasionally an adult would fly up and give him a snack - sadly though I failed to catch such a moment...
